Kids 4 Kids raises money for children with physical, mental and developmental challenges.
Children create artwork that is reproduced on environmentally friendly water bottles. The water bottles are sold online and at local outlets. All profits are donated to Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, New Jersey.
In 2014, 13-year-old Lexi Huffman of Chatham, New Jersey decided to help other children by raising money for Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, New Jersey. Children’s Specialized Hospital treats children with a variety of health challenges including chronic illness, brain and spinal cord injuries, autism and mental health.
An art enthusiast, Lexi contacted the Visual Arts Center in Summit, New Jersey and asked if it could create artwork for water bottles. The Visual Arts Center assigned the task to their students, who created 30 designs.
With the assistance of her mother, Suzette, she found a manufacturer to reproduce four of the designs on eco-friendly water bottles. Since then, Lexi has sold water bottles at local fairs and events. The effort was later incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit named Kids 4 Kids.
